Pico do Castelo viewpoint
The fort has gone but the view remains. A bit before the peak of Pico do Castelo there is a viewpoint with a picnic area and old cannons. Pico do Castelo’s name originated back in the 15th Century when a fort was located here and used as refuge against pirates.
