Pico de Ana Ferreira
At all of 283 metres above sea level, Pico de Ana Ferreira is the highest point on the west of the island. At its peak it sprouts into a spectacular organ-pipe array of pentagonal rock columns, caused by volcanic activity millions of years ago. Below stretches the golf course and beach. It’s a relatively easy climb on foot, and there’s also a track to the top best suited to a 4x4.
