The Port

Porto Santo’s small port serves the odd cruise liner, a small local fishing fleet and the ferry from Funchal. There is also a marina with mooring space for up to 175 vessels. A kilometre or so to the east of Vila Baleira, the port was for many years a fairly forgotten spot, encountered mostly only by ferry passengers. But a recent development initiative has given it a hip new complex of bars and cafes, O Penedo do Sono, with something on offer night and day.
